Swiss tableware at scale: e-commerce built for 19,000 product references.
Kukissima is the consumer brand of Marchon, a Swiss distributor specialising in tableware, from plates to fondue sets, wine systems (Coravin) through to more luxurious pieces such as monolithic grills. Present across French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland, the project called for an e-commerce platform able to handle a vast catalogue while preserving Marchon's position as a wholesaler and exclusive distributor for certain brands.
Launching a B2C channel without competing with reseller partners and the exclusivities negotiated by Marchon
Industrialising the entry, processing and publishing of a catalogue of a scale rarely seen in Switzerland
Selling to the consumer while serving as a commercial showcase for finding new partner brands
Serving French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland with the same quality of experience
WooCommerce on WordPress, run through Elementor, structured to absorb an XXL catalogue without losing performance or clarity of navigation.
The development of a proprietary Product Information Management system that ingests raw supplier data, processes it against business rules and publishes it to the Kukissima standard.
Long-tail SEO, targeted SEA, content and continuous maintenance to establish the brand alongside the historic wholesale business.
A proprietary pipeline that orchestrates the integration of product listings across the whole catalogue. What took several hours of manual work per reference now happens in seconds. The result: a standardised output that feeds the Kukissima site and the Swiss marketplaces simultaneously, with an editorial consistency far quicker and more reliable to maintain than manual handling, which remained possible but slow and laborious across 19,000 products.
“With a catalogue this size, the battle is not won in the shop window but in the pipeline. Intelligent PIM automation frees the brand from product administration and gives it back the time it needs to focus on what really matters: its positioning and its partnerships.”
